On 1 December the European Chemicals Agency is holding a Substance Identity Workshop in Helsinki. The aim of the workshop is to clarify key substance identity concepts under REACH. The workshop is intended mainly for industry experts responsible for preparing inquiry and registration dossiers.
There has been great interest in the Substance Identity Workshop and - unfortunately - ECHA is unable to accommodate everyone who wished to attend the workshop venue. ECHA has therefore decided to web stream the morning sessions to ensure that the majority of people can benefit from the presentations and information shared.
The Agency, located in Helsinki, Finland will manage the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction processes for chemical substances to ensure consistency across the European Union. These REACH processes are designed to provide additional information on chemicals, to ensure their safe use, and to ensure competitiveness of the European industry.
