A big embroidery training project is to start in southern Punjab. Around 11 centres are being set up under this project and would have the latest machinery. Construction of this project would commence in the ongoing month and is expected to be inaugurated by the hands of Prime Minister Mr. Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, informed Mr. Gul Muhammad Rind, Chairman Punjab Industrial Development Corporation.
Mr. Rind was speaking at a seminar conducted by Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI). He further said that this project will impart embroidery training and provide embroidery work to the women. The experts present in the seminar opined that this project needs to be extended to encourage the art and culture of the respective region.
