DyStar ties up with Alok Industries

DyStar, a leading supplier of dyes, auxiliaries and services to the textile industry and Alok Industries Limited - India's most diversified and vertically integrated textile manufacturer have signed a co-operation agreement to be exclusive partners in the field of dyeing and printing.
Mr. Dilip B. Jiwrajka, Managing Director of Alok says, ”DyStar has amongst the widest portfolio of products and services and has been a reliable partner since our inception. With this agreement, we will further optimise our technical processes, improve quality, efficiency and reduce complexity on the supply side.”
Mr. Rajesh Balakrishnan, Managing Director of DyStar India Private Limited is upbeat about the agreement “The co-operation with Alok endorses our commitment to provide complete technical solutions to our valued partners and is a unique opportunity to work closely the largest, most diversified and fastest growing textile enterprise in India”
Alok is a manufacturer of world-class home textiles, garments, apparel fabrics and polyester yarn with sales in over 90 countries of over INR 2900 crores in 2008-09(expected to grow by 38% in 2009-10) with an employee strength of around 19,000. Incorporated in 1986, Alok has since expanded into an integrated textile enterprise with its operations spanning across entire spectrum from spinning, weaving, knitting, processing to home textiles, garments and polyester yarn.
Alok has been a winner of several prestigious awards some of which include the TEXPROCIL, “Outstanding Exporter of the Year – Textiles” award presented at the International Trade Awards 2007-08 by DHL CNBC TV 18 and powered by ICRA, etc. Alok's overseas presence is registered in the form of two subsidiaries, Grabal Alok UK Limited in the UK, a value format retail chain of stores operating under the brand names of `qs' and `Store Twenty One' and Mileta in the Czech Republic, one of Europe's largest integrated textile manufacturers. Alok has recently entered the domestic retail segment with a chain of stores named 'H&A', which offer garments and home textiles at attractive price points.
