GlobalTex team welcomes global marketing expert

Market Center Management Company (MCMC), the management company of leading wholesale trade centers and trade events around the world, announced that Katherine Li has joined the international marketing team of GlobalTex. Li is the president and founder of Global Nexus, a US-based, globally focused corporation dedicated to bringing the sourcing requirements of the world's largest retailers together with manufacturers around the world.
Li will concentrate on expanding GlobalTex business in specific countries in Asia and Africa, including China, Korea, Taiwan, Pakistan, Nepal, and Indonesia. “We are pleased to welcome Katherine to the GlobalTex team,” said Robbin Wells, executive vice president of leasing, MCMC. “Her valuable experience in global marketing and knowledge of the textile industry will help us continue to develop and grow the show with quality exhibitors.”
Global Nexus partners with government export promotion entities and country industry associations to create export opportunities for their constituents. A key element of its mission consists of creating export growth opportunities through the coordination of targeted trade delegations to specific countries. Li is based in California and will report to Wells.
GlobalTex is the first full-scale production and design trade show in the United States presenting the complete supply chain for fashion. GlobalTex features the latest fabrics, trims, yarn, textile design, garment manufacturing including private label, and manufacturing technology. Exhibitors include an international collection of resources from Africa, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Mali, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The show attracts leading designers, product developers, retailers, and wholesalers. In addition, the show offers helpful tailored networking and practical seminars that support the global fashion and design industries.
