Yesim Tekstil has added yet another item to the list of smart fabrics it manufactures relying on advanced technologies, a fabric that looks like leather. Taking advantage of technologies, with this step, Yesim has managed to manufacture leather fabric so fashionable this season without harming a single animal.

Intensively using advanced technologies in its manufacturing processes, Yesim Tekstil has added leather imitating fabrics to its list of smart fabrics manufactured for the first time in Turkey. Closely following global trends, Yesim will now manufacture leather, which is so popular in this season, without harming a single animal.

Mustafa Demiralay, Production Director at Yesim Tekstil, pointed out that leather, which has been used for centuries to produce clothes and accessories, has been heretofore obtained by harming a great number of animals and further added: “We believe that imitation leather fabrics that we have obtained through technical methods based on advanced technologies that enable the manufacture of such fabrics from cotton will also draw interest of consumers who are not used to wearing leather. We believe that, manufactured as a result of the Yesim Tekstil R&D team's research and efforts, this fabric will enjoy popularity among a number of our customers in the days to come.”.

Demiralay further said that they would continue to manufacture high-performance innovative fabrics by continuously increasing the fabric quality at Yesim and added that the company would always continue to offer its customers different alternatives.

Yesim Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. story begins in 1949, when one of the founders of Nergis Holding, the late Sukru Sankaya, arrived in Turkey from Greece for his schooling.
