VJTI to host 'Vastra 2010' textile festival

'Vastra 2010' - the annual national level textile festival organized by the Textile Manufacturing Department of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) is back again. After seven years of consecutive success, this time it gets bigger and even better.

Apart from technical paper presentation and poster presentations, the event features five new mega events; Fashion show, Movie-making, Garment designing, Live Demos and Quiz competition.

The festival is going to be conducted on the 19-20 February, 2010 which will be followed by the TPSA meet which is the annual alumni meet of the department, wherein many dignitaries from different firms and companies will be present.

The festival focuses primarily on bringing out the talent in students and providing them a common platform to showcase their creative instincts in front of the industry.

1,500 students from leading & non textile institutes all over India would be attending the function. The target audience comprises of engineering and non-engineering students, technocrats, esteemed alumni and professionals from the industry.
