Attending Domotex is worthwhile, British Wool

British Wool attended Domotex 2010 in January (16-19) to promote the fibre and British Wool products from licensed manufacturers.

The stand largely acts as a business centre providing a base for BWMB licensed members of the textile industry which want to meet with customers and agents.

“We see our role there as enabling our licensees to do business.” Explained Richard Poole, European Business Manager of the BWMB.

“Every year we find that companies from the UK are attending Domotex as a visitor and they find the British Wool stand a valuable asset while at the show. We provide facilities on the stand to host a meeting and of course it is always useful to have a defined meeting point and somewhere to return to in between appointments.”

The promotion of their 'Naturally Green' environmental fibre campaign was a major part of their activity at the show. In support of this, they introduced a set of three mini-information guides focusing on the Benefits of British Wool in Carpet, the Life Cycle Analysis of scoured British Wool and the Best Management Practices of British Wool.

“The three mini-guides are very brief but contain a short introduction to some complex information. These were very well received by the visitors to the stand because they are pocket-size and user–friendly.”

“We had a very positive show, the stand was busy and we had a lot of enquiries from international manufacturers regarding British Wool and during our discussions with UK spinners and manufacturers that attended, it was clear that attending Domotex is worthwhile.” Poole finished.
