Textile sector overwhelmed by cheap Chinese imports

Industry Minister Mohammad S. Hidayat, professed that Indonesia's textile industry has struggled hard to deal with cheap Chinese imported textiles. He accepted that, it is tough to beat the competition extended by China.
Whereas Indonesia imported 99.5 percent of its cotton requirements, China's textile industry was sourced with domestic materials like cotton and dyes and chemicals, he informed.
Hidayat also added that, China has comparatively more promising interest rate than Indonesia. Various tax breaks for export-oriented industry has also been executed by them.
