New product range of wool carpets set for launch

'Just Shorn' a new product brand formed from a partnership entered into between Elders Primary Wool, New Zealand and CCA Global Partners, a US based leading carpet retailer a year back, is being launched in United States at the International Design Guild Conference for luxury carpet retailers in Las Vegas.
The launch comes ahead of the annual 'Surfaces' flooring convention, which attracts sellers and manufacturers from all over the world.
Stu Chapman, Managing Director, Elders New Zealand informs that, 'Just Shorn' carpets and rugs are not to hit American stores until mid of the year, but during this launch the retailers will get an opportunity to check out samples of the new range.
Mr. Chapman informed that though rates of the new 'Just Shorn' range have not yet been worked out with manufacturers, US customers have extended a hint of their preparedness to pay about 20 percent extra for those sustainable products.
US Floor Covering Institute president Jim Gould, who is also actively involved in brand development, stated that, it is the right time for launching a new environmentally sustainable wool carpet line in US. He also added by saying that, subsequent to the recession, there are indications that the demand for carpets in US will perk up.
Wool carpets which have a 2 percent share in the total floor coverings sold in the US are expected to gain from the same.
