Minister of Textiles to address Textile Industry Roundtable

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing an exclusive Textile Industry Roundtable to discuss current issues of concern that have affected the textiles industry and how best these could be tackled to promote growth in the sector.
Mr Dayanidhi Maran, Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, Government of India has kindly agreed to address and interact with industry leaders on 16 February 2010 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Sahar, Andheri, Mumbai in this forum. The session would be from 1100 Hrs followed by lunch. Ms. Rita Menon, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles will also grace the occasion.
The discussions in the exclusive round table would cover:
· Future of Indian Textile Industry in the Changing Economic Environment
· A conducive business and regulatory environment for succeeding in the long term
· Key imperatives and challenges in Spinning, Composites, Garment,Retail, Man Made Fibre and Technical Textiles.
· National Fibre Policy
· Industry perspective on Employment Generation.
