Low sales figures in rising market

The futures market and the indices of Bremen and Cotlook had continually gone up during the week under report. Compared with one week before the Bremen CIF index had gained 470 points, the Cotlook A Far East even soared 590 points. Potential buyers of Upland cotton showed indeed interest in quantities deliverable up to 2nd quarter 2010, however, abstained from purchases as far as possible. The price ideas were too far apart.
In the Upland range were traded: Central Asian sorts and West African styles for prompt / 1st quarter 2010.
In the fine/extra fine sector contracts were defined for Egyptian GIZA 86, Israel ACALPI, and USA Pima for prompt and further until the 3rd quarter 2010.
