With its entire exhibition space already allocated, the 2010 edition of Intertextile Guangzhou Hometextile China is the hottest home textile event in southern China. Taking place from 18 – 21 March at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, the show will feature166 exhibitors from six countries and regions. Professional buyers, home textile-related importers, exporters, wholesalers, retailers and contractors have the opportunity to source the latest stylish collections of leading home textile suppliers from China, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Switzerland and the UK.

Leather and material sofa fabrics, bed and sofa upholstery, curtains blinds and accessories, household linens, textile wall and floor coverings are just some of the show's major product areas. Renowned brands exhibiting this year include Fuhua (Jia Fu) Carpet Co Ltd, Foshan Nanhai Yuanzhicheng Knitting Co Ltd, ITOCHU Textile Co Ltd and Hangzhou Kangtai Textile Co Ltd. Also on display will be the latest cutting-edge printing and CAD/CAM/CIM systems, providing those interested in design with the ideal occasion to meet and discuss with key fashion designers.

2010 show attracts new and returnee exhibitors
Ali Textiles, an exporter and a representative of manufacturers from Pakistan is participating in the show for the first time to expand the business footprint of the companies they represent in Asia, Europe and North America. “The show is held together with seven other home-related trade events, a number of cross-marketing opportunities exist to penetrate multiple user markets. This is a good platform to raise the profile of Pakistan's premium suppliers of home textiles regionally and internationally,” explained Mr Yasir Masood of Ali Textiles.

In an effort to increase their market share, Decorama Inc of Korea will also be taking part in the show for the first time. “China's home textile market continues to grow, ample opportunities exist across many sectors. We will be presenting a variety of flame retardant fabric and environmentally friendly fabric for contract and home use,” noted Decorama Inc's Mr Thomas Jeong.

Wanting to build on last year's success is leading British design house Lewis Design Consultancy Ltd. “We came last year, primarily to test the waters and it paid off immensely. The show is a good fit for us, we met with different end users from across the region including China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. This year, we will be presenting even more samples of our high-end short-run digital printing designs,” said Mr Kevin Lewis, Managing Director.

Value added fringe programme confirmed
In addition to providing a comprehensive sourcing platform, visitors will stay informed of the latest industry updates and trends at the show. Seminars on Home Textile Product Design will explore the 'Design Difference' between the Zhujiang area of southern China and Zhangjiang areaof eastern China. To promote up-and-coming new industry talent, the winning entries of the China International Home Textiles Product Design Competition, launched at sister event, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2009 will be displayed across the flyover linking the 24th China International Furniture Fair with the home textile show.
