Knit Fabrics:
Pat Tabassi, Product Development and Marketing Manager at Design Knit, Inc. - Pat, a recognized leader in the sales and marketing of knitted fabrics, has over 14 years experience in marketing and business development. Her early career focused on global logistics and international trade promotion. In her position at Design Knit, she is involved with all aspects of the product development cycle from technical design to yarn sourcing, to fabric production, as well as sales, marketing, and public relations.
Dyeing/Printing/Finishing:
Jim Lorber, VP of Marketing & Sales for Prima-Tex Industries -Jim has over twenty years experience in developing and designing products for the apparel/textile industries. He has led the R&D operations for a number of categories, and understands the physical properties of knit and woven fabrications, dye products, printed products and value added textile applications. Jim also has expertise in a variety of markets including apparel, home furnishings, industrial, and institutional and performance textiles. In his current position with Prima-Tex, Jim oversees a network of regional representatives, services existing client accounts, cultivates new relationships with potential customers, and guides new product direction.

Kathy Swantko, President, FabricLink Network – Kathy, a recognized expert in textiles and fabric care, is a tireless, pro-active advocate for the apparel and textile industries. She has over 30 years of experience in the textile industry involving areas of promotion, sales training, education, market research, and editorial writing. In 1995, she launched the award-winning FabricLink.com, followed by FabricLink's companion web site, TheTechinicalCenter.com in 2003. The sites provide educational resources for consumers and retailers, and a B-to-B networking forum for the textile/apparel industry. Kathy has served as an instructor in CSULA's Textile Production and Management Certificate Program through extended education. She is a textile reporter and also the Academic Liaison for the Project OR Student Competition at the Outdoor Retailer Show.
