TMA contests TDAP's towel export data

While not revealing its own figures, Towel Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (TMA) has challenged the towel export data released by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
TMA's Chairman, Waqar Alam has recently stated that, 53.85 percent hike in the volume of towel exports with 22 percent rise in its value for the month of January this year is on the higher side.
Correspondingly, he also held the data revealing the fall of 20.67 percent in average unit price over the period under review to be incorrect.
He said that TMA has been collecting its private data which will be made public through the press, but at the same time he held that TDAP should be bit more cautious while releasing the vital data of the country's export.
