TEA represents for handloom dress code in TN

Shri.A.Sakthivel, President said he has made a representation to the to Hon'ble Chief Minister Kalaignar Dr. M. Karunanidhi requesting to issue an order, as like prevailing in Kerala, stating that Students of Schools & Colleges, Teachers, Government Officials, Institutions, Private Organisations & industries to wear the dress materials produced by the Handlooms weavers of Tamil Nadu atleast one day in a week. The dress materials like handloom saris, Suridhars, Shirts, Pants, Dhothis can be made popular among the public also.

Shri.A.Sakthivel added that the representation was also sent to Thiru.M.K.Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Shri.Sakthivel lauded the efforts being taken by Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles, Thiru. Dayanidhi Maran for the development of textile industry and increasing of in domestic and as well as export markets. Shri.Sakthivel pointed out that the Hon'ble Union Minister of Textile is giving a special attention and increase the consumption of handloom products. The representation have also been sent to Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles for his support.

The representation has also been sent to Shri. K.K.S.S.R Ramachandran, Hon'ble Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Shri. K.S Sripathi,I.A.S., Chief Secretary, Shri.R.Rajagopal, I.A.S., Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles & Khadi Department.
