Chemical fibre, yarn & fabric output up in Jan-Feb

The industrial output value of China's textile enterprises, with annual sales income of over 5 million Yuan, totaled to 567.3 billion Yuan in January-February 2010, up 27 percent year on year.
There are multiple factors responsible for the hike like, market demand picked up, enterprises rebuilt inventories, textile orders increased, capacity utilization generally improved and production growth accelerated.
In January-February 2010, chemical fibre production registered 4.25 million tons, an increase of 17.1 percent year on year. Yarn output touched 3.58 million tons, up 26.5 percent year on year.
Fabric production fetched 10.1 billion meters, up 51 percent year on year. Among them, fabric output of Zhejiang Province increased by 131.5 percent year on year, the highest growth.
Total output of apparel and accessories reached 3.56 billion pieces, an increase of 17.2 percent over the same time of the previous year.
