Chinese yarn output grows awesomely in 2010

China's yarn output of major enterprises reached 2.166 million tons in March of 2010, according to latest statistics. In the first three months of 2010, total production of yarn touched 5.666 million tons, up 19.62 percent year-on-year.

Among them, cotton yarn output touched 1.671 millions tons in March and 4.365 million tons from January to March, up 18.56 percent year on year. Output of cotton blended yarn stood at 194,251 tons in March and 521,379 tons from January to March.

Chemical fiber yarn production marked 299,432 tons in March and totaled to 776,800 tons from January to March, up 29.99 percent year on year, representing the maximum rate of annual increase.

In comparison, China's yarn production had increased by a mere 7.72 percent in the first quarter of 2009, when compared with the same period in 2008, of which, output of cotton yarn improved 8.27 percent, cotton blended yarn realized a negative growth, while production of chemical fiber yarn increased by 11 percent.
