The sales of upland cottons in the domestic market remained limited to the still available producing countries in Central Asia and West Africa. After the prices had consolidated on a high level contracts partly fixed for delivery in the second and third quarter 2010 could be concluded . There was still brisk interest in fine and extra-fine cottons for immediate delivery, in smaller quantities also for later.
In the Upland range were traded: Central Asian classes for prompt and further in the 2nd quarter 2010, West African styles for the same period of time.
From among the fine and extra-fine Varieties were sold: Egyptian GIZA 88 and GIZA 86 for prompt and further in the 2nd quarter 2010; Sudan Barakat for the same period of time, Israel Pima and ACALPI additionally from the new crop in the 4th quarter 2010.
