Cationic filament market appears sluggish

In the previous week, cationic filament market appeared dull, due to the impact of price drop of polymer raw materials, which sent transaction atmosphere of the whole polyester filament market down.
Although cationic filament price was barely stable, actual transaction price showed signs of fatigue. Cationic filament FDY50D/24F, 68D/24F, 100D/48F focused at 16,500 Yuan, 15,400 Yuan and 14,300 Yuan per ton in the market, unchanged from the previous week.
In Shengze market, sales of FDY63D and 75D were fair, as the products are mainly used to produce cationic jacquard fabrics. In addition, DTY200D and POY75D were more saleable, of which, POY75D is used to produce composite filament, while other products appeared dull in sales.
Offers for cationic chips fell to 10,950 Yuan / ton in upstream sector, down 50-100 Yuan / ton compared with the previous week. Purchasing power for cationic filament from downstream weakened, which created sales pressure on cationic filament.
