Last Week (May 3 to 9), polyester / nylon composite filament in Shengze market moved sideways. Trade volume of DTY 75D/36F × 16 polyester / nylon composite filament slightly enlarged, as the product is mainly used to produce fabrics blended from polyester/nylon/cotton and cleaning cloth in downstream weaving sector.

Prices were basically unchanged compared with the previous week, offers of DTY150D/36F × 16 and DTY160D/72F × 16 stood at 17,400 Yuan / ton and 17,200 Yuan / ton, respectively at the previous weekend.

DTY90D/75F × 16 polyester / nylon composite filament and DTY75D/36F × 16 polyester / nylon composite filament closed at 23,800 Yuan / ton and 23,200 Yuan / ton, respectively.

Recent price trends of polyester / nylon composite filament depict stability, but as nylon raw material price goes higher, prices of polyester chips have declined, which creates negative influence on polyester / nylon composite filament market.

Current purchasing power of polyester / nylon composite filament is insufficient, downstream textile enterprises, are not willing to make heavy investment into purchasing fabrics made of polyester / nylon composite filament.
