Polyester composite filament prices slide down

In the last week (May 10 to 16), polyester and polyester composite filament in Shengze market fell due to the double impact of decline in upstream raw materials market and lack of purchasing power from downstream market.
(DT flat drawn + POY) 50 +50, 50 +68 products closed at 13,200 Yuan / ton and 13,000 Yuan / ton, respectively in actual transactions on May 16, down 200 Yuan/ ton from the previous week.
Products of (DT flat drawn + POY) 100 +50, 100 +75 also fell to 12,400 Yuan / ton and 12700 Yuan / ton. In addition, (DT flat drawn + POY) 100 +100,100 +125 also declined. (DT flat drawn + POY) 100 +100 fell to 12,000 Yuan / ton.
In upstream market, prices of semi-dull polyester chips reduced, mainstream quotation was around 9,850 Yuan / ton (payment in cash), which created pressure on polyester & polyester composite filament market.
Polyester & polyester composite filament market is expected to be sluggish next week, but downward space will be limited, as currently spinning enterprises have already limited production or changed products by varying degrees.
