China's textile exports continued to improve in the first four months of this year, but still face many pressures, according to the report released by the Ministry of Industry and Information yesterday.
Data reveals that China's textile and apparel exports reached $53.79 billion in the period January to April, up 15.5 percent year on year.
The Ministry points out that future pressure will come from four aspects: First, international economic situation remains complicated, especially the EU's sovereign debt crisis.
Second, developed economies like the United States, Europe and Japan still witness high unemployment rates; third, the expectation on Yuan appreciation gradually strengthens, it further increases the uncertainty of future orders.
The fourth and not the least, labour and raw material cost pressures continue to increase.
