Sales of BCF carpet yarn line announced by Neumag

Oerlikon Neumag from Germany is a non-woven, bulk-continuous-filament (BCF), carpet yarn and man-made staple fibre machinery business unit of Oerlikon Textile GmbH & Co. KG.
Neumag reports that, since the onset of 2010, it had finished over 20 BCF carpet yarn line orders by key carpet producers of US, China, Russia, Turkey and Brazil. On the other hand, polyester yarn totalled for over half the 100,000 plus tons of manufacturing capacity.
According to Georg Stausberg, CEO, Neumag, their expectations have already been crossed, as in the first month of this year, demand for BCF carpet yarn lines rose quite steeply.
He further added that, lines for the manufacturing of BCF yarn from polyester are a rapidly growing market sector in which, the company was able to attain unexpected heights. Luckily, owing to continuous improvement of goods, Neumag was able to strengthen their market position in the already established sectors, the plants for polypropylene and nylon.
As per Neumag, as polyester yarns are most cost-effective to manufacture than other yarns, the demand for polyester yarn has increased. Also, it is expected that, the increment rate for polyester will surpass the rate for other carpet fibres.
