Advansa presents Thermoºcool Soft'tech

Through its network of licensed yarn texturizers worldwide, ADVANSA enlarges its offer to provide softer and more supple hand for performance thermo-regulation fabrics. Thermo Cool Soft'Tech is an improvement that offers a cotton touch and softer hand to demanding customers looking for additional comfort without compromising on performance.

Through its network of licensed yarn texturizing partners, Ductel and Contifibre in Europe and Duwell in Asia, ADVANSA presents Thermo Cool Soft'Tech, a technological innovation which provides soft hand and cotton touch to performance sportswear apparel. Cotton is often chosen for sports garments due to a natural and comfortable hand. However, cotton can deliver very limited moisture management benefits.

Together with its licensed texturizing partners, ADVANSA has implemented the use of the latest air jet texturizing technology on Thermo Cool fine fibres to develop a unique performance man-made thermo-regulating yarn that replicates at microscopic level the soft structure of cotton to offer a similar hand.

“Sports garments made of polyester are sometimes blamed for having a rough hand. When at ADVANSA we develop fibres and yarns for thermoregulation garments” said Mr. Gerard Illeras, Global ASW Market Manager for Thermo Cool “this concern for a nice hand is always present and we do our best to manufacture state of the art polymer and the finest
microfilaments in order to deliver the materials that will end up providing to the final customer a technical garment where the quality will not just be assessed by the performance but also by the reaction obtained from the sense of the touch.”

Thermo Cool garments are made with a unique fibre mix providing superior evaporative cooling, designed to keep the user dry and cool when the body temperature increases, and unique thermo-buffering properties helping to keep the user warm when the temperature decreases. Through this unique combination, the garment helps to thermo-regulate the body temperature throughout all of the exercise period independent of being in high or low activity phases, in order to remain in the comfort zone without the body overheating and without the undesirable post-exercisechill effect.

Thermo Cool Soft'Tech was first successfully tested by the National Czech Olympic team in the last winter Olympic games for first layer garments and was reported to offer outstanding performance and comfort. “Due to its really nice hand, we do believe that this product is a firm candidate to make its way in the top segment of performance apparel for fitness where the contact perception of the garment with the skin is an important value.” concluded Mr. Illeras.
