U-Long selects SmartSilver for performance textiles

NanoHorizons Inc., a leader in the creation of nanoscale performance additives for textile, health care, and industrial applications, has announced that U-Long High-Tech Textile has chosen SmartSilver antimicrobial for its performance textiles. Widetech Ltd., a SmartSilver distributor in Taiwan, will provide the SmartSilver additive to U-Long's production facilities.
“SmartSilver is cutting edge antimicrobial technology that clearly enhances our line of high performance woven fabrics,” says Sunny Lin, Sales Manager, U-Long. “SmartSilver adds value for our customers and proven performance for their end users. The market wants added features and multiple benefits at a competitive price and with SmartSilver we continue to satisfy that demand.”
SmartSilver antimicrobial additives are available in a range of integration-ready formulations for both natural and synthetic fibers and fabrics. SmartSilver provides highly durable, effective protection against bacteria and the odors and material degradation these microbes can cause. SmartSilver antimicrobial additives are approved by Oeko-Tex as free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be hazardous to human health. The additives are also US EPA registered.

U-Long is a preferred fabric supplier to most of the major outdoor performance apparel brands in the US, Europe and Asia. Their fabrics are used in outerwear, performance wear, and equipment as well as in lining materials for footwear and bags.
NanoHorizons and U-Long will be attending Outdoor Retailer Summer Market and will be available in Booth #255-410.
