Weak trends continue in PTA spot markets

In the current week, PTA spot market continued its weak trend; offers for domestic supply were around 7,050 Yuan/ ton, while those for overseas supply were around US $855/ ton. Transaction sentiment in MEG market was moderate; offers for domestic supply were around 5,850 Yuan and for overseas supply were around $700/ ton.
Sinopec Group introduced settlement price of polyester chips for June contract. Price of semi-dull chips was at 9,300 Yuan / ton, price of bright chips and industrial yarn slices was at 9,350 Yuan / ton, film level slice was at 9,400 Yuan / ton and price of dull chips was at 10,100 Yuan / ton.
Sinopec Group introduced pre- offers of polyester chips for July contract, price of semi-dull chips was at 9,500 Yuan / ton, price of bright chips and industrial yarn slices was at 9,600 Yuan / ton, price of film level chips was at 9,650 Yuan / ton and price of dull chips was at 10,300 Yuan / ton.
Polyester chips market was based on a smooth correction and dominated by waiting and watch attitude and mainstream offers in the market was around 9,300 Yuan/ ton.
