Polyester / nylon composite filament records sluggish sales

In the just concluded week, polyester / nylon composite filament witnessed sluggish sales in Shengze, due to flat sales of relevant fabrics in downstream market, but prices remained unchanged compared to the previous week.

Prices of DTY150D/36F × 16 composite filaments stood at 17,200-17,400 Yuan / ton, unchanged from the previous weekend. DTY90D/75F × 16 and DTY75D/36F × 16 were quoted at 23,200 Yuan / ton and 23,800 Yuan / ton, respectively.

Flat trend of polyester / nylon filament market was mainly due to dull sales of polyester and nylon corduroy fabrics. Sales of another main product; DTY150D/36F × 16 (mainly used in production of nylon / polyester peach skin fabrics) were also moderate.

In addition, currently domestic price of nylon raw materials is sluggish, meanwhile, trading sentiment of polyester / nylon composite filament is light, negatively effecting downstream products.

Current price decline of raw materials in upstream nylon market and shocks in polyester market are likely to spread to polyester / nylon composite filament market, therefore the market is expected to move in a downward trend.
