Algeria invites Iranian artists in cultural & artistic festival

The Algerian Culture Minister has sent an invitation to Iranian craftsmen to present variety of Persian handicrafts in Algeria's cultural and artistic festival. A 40-craftsman group from Isfahan Province will take part in the festival, informed Gholam-Ali Feizollahi, Head of Isfahan's Handicraft Exports Union.
These craftsmen will introduce Isfahan's traditional arts-work and handicrafts, including, enamelwork, miniature painting, marquetry, mosaic and latticework. This group of artists will be accompanied with a musical ensemble and a group of Zurkhaneh athletes practicing the ancient Persian Sport of Heroes that puts together the pre-Islamic Persian culture and the spirituality of Sufism.
The artisans will also introduce their articles in the festival to be opened on July 18 and will continue till July 27. The event is considered as the initial step towards setting up cultural relations between Iran and Algeria. A similar event would also be organized for Algerian artists to assist them to introduce their artwork and culture in Iran, said Feizollahi.
