PTA prices rebound, PX stays firm

PX price remained firm with help of bullish energy market. PX prices were offered around US $850/ton but mainly traded around $840-840/ton in the S E Asian market. PX goods imported from the Korean markets were traded in the range of $830-835/ton.
PTA price successfully bounced back due favorable market sentiment from both the upstream as well as from downstream. In Asian market price of PTA stood at $840-845/ton. PTA cargo imported from S E Asia was traded around $842/ton and PTA from Korean ports was traded around $832/ton.
In S E Asia, ethylene price maintained its level and was assessed in the range of $790-795/ton, while in US domestic market it was quoted at 32.9 cents/pound.
In MEG market, the general level of bonded goods was traded in the range of $690-695/ton. For the cargoes to be received from overseas markets, buyers did try to fix spot price near around $690/ton.
