A footwear brand, Ugg Australia well-known for its sheep skin boots, is now all set to explore the knitwear sector. Reports say that, the brand is all set to introduce men's and women's knitwear collection for autumn 10, vended at US department store Neiman Marcus, Ugg standalone outlets in the country and online at www.uggaustralia.com.

It is yet not certain as to whether the collection will be displayed at UK based outlets. The women's wear range comprises of cashmere-wool chunky hand-knit cable V-necks, cardigans and Italian merino wool sweater coats, brushed lambswool ponchos and cable-knit sweaters with hoods lined with shearling, while the men's wear collection features fisherman cables in turtle necks and V-necks.

The brand as it fabricates shearling, down and leather coats and also licenses wintry weather accessories and handbags.

Ugg boots have encountered exceptional success in sales in the UK, thus facilitating the entire business, possessed by Deckers in the US, to boost its sales by 35 percent, from $74.4 million (£47.1 million) to $100.2 million (£63.4 million).
