Cracker of Royal Dutch Shell resumes operations

A newly commissioned ethylene cracker plant, operated by Royal Dutch Shell has resumed operations after having faced an outage on August 3, 2010.

According to an official spokesperson of Royal Dutch Shell, the 800,000 ton / year, ethylene cracker plant in Singapore has resumed operations, after the plant was shut down, due to a minor technical problem.

The spokesperson added by saying that, the brief disruption was caused by a compressor trip and the issue was resolved within 2 working days.

When the plant was shut down, it was projected that the cracker would take 3-4 days to resume operations.
