Discount Fabrics USA rolls out Eco-Friendly Fabric line

Discount Fabrics USA, a well-known Maryland wholesaler of discount fabrics since 1994, has announced the launch of its Eco-Friendly fabrics for a variety of uses. Eco-friendly fabrics refer to those materials that are 100% natural cotton fabric that have been made within the parameters of stringent environmental specifications; without the use of petroleum derivatives, heavy metals, or formaldehyde. This is another way, says company principles, that Discount Fabrics USA has been at the forefront of meeting consumer demand.

“As one of the industry's leading suppliers of high-quality drapery and upholstery fabrics, consumers look to us to set the pace,” says Discount Fabrics president, Valerie Teske. “Environmental responsibility is an important concern today - finding ways to use the products that we love while simultaneously reducing our carbon footprint in the pursuit of those materials. Our eco-friendly line offers options for taking environmental responsibility without sacrificing quality and style.”

Discount Fabric's eco-friendly line encompasses an extensive selection of fabrics in a multitude of styles and colors. Fabrics are suitable for draperies, upholstery, and bedspreads. Consumers, says Teske, are more sophisticated than ever. They know what they want and they stand firmly behind what's important to them. While quality and affordable prices have always been the cornerstone of the company, they have had to take into account in recent years a greater emphasis on respect for the environment through manufacturing practices.

“No matter what our industry, the preservation of the environment is a shared concern,” says Teske. “We are proud to do our small part and still offer amazing wholesale fabrics and an exceptional shopping experience so that ultimately our customers can create the home design they envision.”

Discount Fabrics USA is based in Thurmont, Maryland and has been offering wholesale fabrics to customers since 1994 including upholstery and drapery fabrics - as well as outdoor fabrics - for a fraction of their original pricing. Discount Fabrics operates out of its showroom as well as through its online store and has grown to be one of the largest and most respected dealers of wholesale fabrics on the Eastern Seaboard.
