PX & MEG prices improve

Paraxylene price improved and was pegged between US $910-915 / ton in S E Asian market. In Korean market, closing prices increased to between $895-900 / ton. Offers for September delivery in Taiwanese market was around $910 / ton.
PTA price remained unchanged. PTA produced in Taiwan hovered around $900 / ton where a few deals were confirmed in the range of $880-890 / ton, while cargoes imported from Korea were offered around $875-880 / ton, up by $5 / ton, when compared with yesterday.
Ethylene prices grew at slow and steady pace. Offers for ethylene in the S E Asian market was unchanged at $890 / ton while trading price increased marginally to $885 / ton. The US ethylene market was robust yesterday and offers jumped to 35.13 cents / pound, while in European market, prices remained unchanged.
MEG market progressed slowly in Asia. Sellers of MEG successfully increased their offers to $795 / ton, while buying offers prevailed in the range of $785-790 / ton. Selling offer for early September delivery was in the range of $792-795 / ton.
