CM of HP lays foundation stone of First Textile Park

He said that it was due to the credibility built by the state with the entrepreneurs that they were willingly coming forward to invest in investment friendly environment of the State. He said that Rs. 350 crore Himachal Textile Park was a glaring example of the trust investors had in the state.

He said that Himachal was emerging a hub of textile industry since more textile mills were coming up in different parts of the state. He thanked BJP High Command for overwhelmingly supporting the cause of extension of the Package and taking up the same with the Prime Minister. He assured the industrialists that the State would be extending best possible facilities for setting up of more production units in the State.

Chief Minister was also presented drafts worth Rs. 10 lakh by Jindal Cotex Limited as contribution towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Shri Satpal Jain, former MP and Convenor, national BJP Legal Cell, congratulated the people of Una for having the First Textile Park set up in the area which would change their economy. He termed it right step taken at right time in the right direction.

Shri Sandeep Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Cotex Limited, welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for laying the foundation stone of the First Textile Park in the State. He detailed the proposed activities to be undertaken in the Park and assured that over 80 percent employment would be given to local youth by carrying their advanced skill upgradation. He said that world class infrastructure would be created in the Park to carry forward with state of the art manufacturing facilities with emphasis on technical textile segments at Ram Nagar Thatthal.

Sushma Sharma and Shri Naveen Dhiman, former MLAs, Shri Onkar Sharma, Director of Industries, Shri K.R.Bharti, DC, Shri Santosh Patial, SP, other senior officers and prominent people of the area were present on the occasion.
