Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Q4FY10 net sales up 28.20%

Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Limited (SLCL), a company driven by vision, innovation in niche products, Research and development consisting of home textiles, technical textiles, ballistic products, safety textiles, armoured vehicles and end to end textile products for domestic, international and defence segments reported 19.77 % rise in its net profit to Rs. 23.08 crore for the quarter ended June 30th, 2010 (July – June fiscal) as compared to net profit of Rs 19.27 crore reported in the same period of last year.
Net Sales for the quarter stood at Rs. 423.87 crore, a rise of 28.20 % as against Rs. 333.73 crore in the corresponding quarter. EBIDTA for the quarter stood at Rs.50.53 crore, a rise of 13.42 % as against Rs. 44.55 crore in Q4FY09.
Net Profit for FY10 stood at Rs. 91.64 crore, as compared to Rs 62.96 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, registering a growth of 45.55 %.
The EBITA for the full year stood at Rs205.77 crore as compared to Rs 173.88 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, registering a growth of 18.20 %.
Commenting on the results, Dr MP Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Ltd said, “We have grown organically during the whole year and have made good progress in development of defense related products. The joint cooperation agreements with world renowned companies have placed us in forefront in comparison to our competitors. We have participated in many defence tenders and bagged some key orders. Going forward we will enhance our focus in value added products like technical textiles and defence related products”.
Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Ltd. is a technology driven integrated multi-product and multi-market player, engaged in manufacturing and processing for high quality standards, end-to -end textile products and safety textiles for paramilitary forces and other defence establishments since 1993.
