Turkmen velvet fabrics have potentials for exports – Govt

Turkmenistan's fist factory involved in production of Turkmen velvet, now produces over 40 types of velvet fabric.
The factory was set up in Akhal province's Ruhabat district in October 2008. The velvet fabric along with a wide ranging collection of other velvet products is being displayed and sold at the Ashgabat's trade center "Altyn Asyr" established by the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
Ministry of Textile recently stated that, the Turkmen velvet, which is in high demand in country's local market, possesses actual potential to be an export item.
The factory based at Ruhabat operates with the most up-to-date machinery and advanced technology, which allows it to manufacture world class velvet fabrics.
