Nonwovens manufacturer purchases Aztec air-dryer

Ivyland, Pa.-based Aztec Machinery Co. – a company producing ovens and dryers for nonwovens, carpets and technical textiles – informed that, a Georgia based carpet manufacturing company has acquired a thru-air drum dryer.

The machine dries and bonds the needle felted nonwovens by applying heat. The dryer has single-drum omega design with a width of 4.6 meter. The drum diameter goes beyond 3 meters.

Recently the company equipped a major tier-one producer of needle felted automotive nonwovens with a thru-air drum dryer. The machine will thermally bond the nonwovens.

According to Burnsville, N.C.-based Ford, Trimble & Associates Inc. – sales and marketing agent of Aztec Machinery, these machines were among the largest to be sold to the nonwovens manufacturers from U.S.
