Sukartik Clothing becomes subsidiary of Garnet International

Garnet International Ltd has informed that the Company has invested in 51% equity shares of paid up equity capital of Sukartik Clothing Pvt. Ltd. By virtue of this investment, Sukartik Clothing Pvt. Ltd. is now subsidiary of the Company.

Sukartik Clothing Pvt. Ltd. (SCPL) is establishing a plant for the entire process of manufacturing seamless garments - starting from seamless knitting, garment dyeing and stitching at Ludhiana (Punjab) of the total cost of Rs. 7 Cr under one roof.

Presently SCPL have technically advanced six new 28 gauges Santoni seamless knitting machines from Italy enable to produce fine quality for well known Brands. Further, the plant has most advanced garments dyeing and processing unit making it the most integrated seamless garments manufacturing plant in India with all facilities under one-roof.

With this infrastructure at present can produce a wide range of seamless garments using yarns like combed cotton, organic cotton, polyamide and polyester and microfilaments with Lycra etc., SCPL's Plant has a capacity to knit and process up to 2500 pieces of garment per day in all shapes and sizes.

Trial production of the same will be commenced in October 2010.
