The synergy with other fashion fairs, desired by the EUROVET Group, proved a big success with an influx of new visitors along with the continued presence of order givers who have attended previous fairs.

Fatex, The Fashion Sourcing Trade Fair was organized during 5 to 7 September 2010 in Paris – Porte de Versailles.

Despite a third day affected by a general strike in Paris, 3060 visitors attended the fair his season.

55% came to find new suppliers : this is a clear result of the shift in dates and reflects the fact that the fair is a complement to the other fashion fairs.

Exhibitors showed new rigor in presenting their collections, helped by the organizers who modernized the scenography and fair concept. This season, we saw an increase in the creativity and quality offered, paired with a variety of fabric possibilities (cashmere, silk, ecological cotton, linen, denim …) and sectors (men's suits, shirting, leather, untailored clothes, knits, household linens, hats, jeans, decoration items, bags …) to satisfy the demands and diversity of buying offices, brands, retail groups and store chains.

This new formula dynamized sales figures at the fair. One example: a Bangladesh manufacturer took an order for 70,000 pieces, assuring production for a good part of the upcoming year.

The exhibit by ESMOD Beijing, sponsored by the Chinese Textile Import-Export Chamber of Commerce (CCCT) was a key element for showing fashions and trends which impressed both designers and trade fair officials.

This exhibit echoed both the trade fair renewal and exhibitor offer, proving that China, the main country represented at the fair, is now capable of producing fashion with refined techniques and knowhow plus a better comprehension of the European « fashion » market. Fashion and creation schools in China are at the heart of future commercial challenges.

Next FATEX : January 23 to 25, 2011 – Porte de Versailles Hall 2.2
