The global apparel manufacturing industry is expected to grow more than ever in times to come. According to an estimate, the global apparel industry will reach a value of US $ 1,781.7 billion by the end of 2010. The apparel manufacturers are now adopting new techniques to increase their trade.

New business models and competitive strategies are used to enhance profits and growth. In the aftermath of the financial crisis as the economy moves from contraction toward recovery it is time to reflect. There are number of signs pointing in the right direction but there are great threats or imbalances on the way.

It is now the time to identify the Differentiating Edge and Strategise For Tomorrow's Business.

At 6th international conference on Apparel and Home Textiles ICAHT 10 scheduled on 24th to 25th Sept 2010 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, India. It is planned to discuss and deliberate that with an effective policy, swift implementation of new technologies, processes, concepts and productive use of international forums, India can establish its position as an innovator.

Sustainable Development is thematic area in which OGTC has been working for dissemination of knowledge to eradicate barriers and raise awareness in the sector.

In the specific workshops on DAY TWO for specific skill professionals the participants will be exposed to the need of continuous investment in Developing Innovating Processes, Products and manufacturing capabilities with special emphasis on development of human capital to the fullest.

The host OGTC a cluster centric approach is the first of its kind with mission excellence as its motto. Members are clear in their minds that success can only be achieved through collective thinking and cooperation. Like minded entrepreneurs got together and created OGTC to primarily strengthen each member by complementing each other, by identifying best practices, implementing intensive collective training and adopting out of the box approach and provide inputs as a think tank to the garment industry to be a Responsible Bussiness.
