PX prices rebound, ethylene & MEG stay unchanged

Paraxylene prices revived in tandem with upstream energy markets. In S E Asian market, PX price was assessed at between $980-985 / ton. Price of PX imported from Korea was in the range of $970-975 / ton. Offers for October and November delivery were quoted at $967 / ton and $962 / ton, respectively.
PTA price continued to gallop higher in S E Asian markets. Trading price was in the range of $900-905 / ton, whereas offer price surged to $910-915 / ton. In Korean market, PTA stood in the range of $890-895 / ton.
Ethylene price was stable today due to firm downstream sector, and was assessed in the range of $985-990 / ton. In European market, price of ethylene was stable at $1010-1015 / ton and in European domestic market; it was priced at €900-905 / ton. In US market, price increased to 33.7 cents / pound.
MEG market remained unchanged at level of $800 / ton in the S E Asian market due to firm upstream. Buying offers for MEG was still around $795 / ton but sellers were firm with offers above $805 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, price was in the range of RMB 6500-6550 / ton.
