Saudi Arabia's Aramco and US's Dow Chemical Company have revealed that their US $15 billion-plus joint venture on petrochemicals is right on track.
The construction work of the plant will be initiated in 2012 and the manufacturing will be based around an ethylene unit with a capacity to manufacture 1.3 million tons of ethylene and 400,000 tons of propylene annually.
In April, the partners decided to relocate the plant to Jubail Industrial City – 2, which is located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
