Launch of USTER QUANTUM 3 with Smart Clearing Technology

Uster Technologies Ltd, the leading high technology instrument manufacturer of products for quality measurement and certification for the textile industry, announced today the market introduction of the ground-breaking third generation of its best-selling USTER QUANTUM clearer system.
This latest state-of-the-art quality assurance technology allows textile manufacturers optimize production efficiency and reduce costs, making the device to an indispensable quality management tool in spinning plants. The pioneering system offers significant benefits that allow textile manufacturers to work with yarn of highest quality and thereby avoid any disturbing defects that could result in lost sales and profit. The production ramp-up and training of the world-wide sales teams already commenced in September. Full production capacity will be in place by November 2010.
USTER QUANTUM 3 with Smart Clearing Technology represents the latest generation of the Group's future-oriented quality assurance technology. The system features new powerful capacitive and optical sensor technology that makes all disturbing defects visible, thereby significantly enhancing detecting accuracy and enabling manufacturers to sort out thin and thick places, inconsistent colors or other unwanted properties. The new clearer has a robust and rugged design for less maintenance and a longer life expectancy and is smart and simple to use. Furthermore, the system includes a completely new designed control unit with a modern and ergonomic user interface.
