TEA requests postponing cotton exports by one more month

In a group of Ministers meeting, it was decided to permit cotton exports to 1st November 2010 onwards and the quantity permitted will be kept at same level 55 lakh bales
In a press release issued, Shri.A.Sakthivel, President, TEA (Tirupur Exporters' Association) said that that he wholeheartedly thank the Hon'ble Union Minister of Textile, Thiru.Dayanidhi Maran for his full efforts for postponing of permitting of cotton exports to 1st November 2010 and he said that without the support of Hon'ble Minister it would have been light of the day and this will certainly help to save the textile industry.
Shri. A.Sakthivel said he has sent a thanks letter to Thiru.Dayanidhi Maran, Hon'ble Union Minister of Textile and requested the Minister to try to postpone the cotton exports by atleast another one month.
Shri.Sakthivel said he has also sent thanks letter to Hon'ble Chief Minister, Kalaignar Dr. M. Karunanidhi for used his offices to take his decision.
