Textile-Industrial Forum 'The Golden Ring' to start tomorrow

The heads of the ministries and departments, the heads of the regional administrations, the representatives of Russian and foreign business, the institutes of higher education, and the commonwealths were invited to participate in the Forum`s work.

Michael Men, the Governor of the Ivanovo Region: “Our region has been famous for textile fabrics from time immemorial, and today we are continuing to make maximum efforts to develop the branch. The industrial policy of the Ivanovo Region is directed to the development of the domestic textile potential, its modernization, and the competitive product release. We hope that the Forum “The Golden Ring” helps us to meet these challenges.”

The main event of the Forum business program will be the plenary meeting with participation of the representatives of federal and regional agencies of the legislative and executive power, and will deal with the discussion of the realization of the strategic development of the light industry, the state support of the branch, the realization of the pilot projects, the development prospects of the light industry. Russian and foreign industrial consulting companies will introduce projects and suggestions for engineering procedure modernization in the textile and sewing enterprises, topical marketing decisions to the Forum participants. The issues concerning competitive recovery of the textile production of Russian manufactures both for the domestic market and for the import, the development of the up-to-date logistics centers, the modernization of the technical basis of enterprises and support small and medium enterprise in the textile and sewing industry will be paid separate attention in the Forum business program.

Emanuel Byuto-Stubbs, the General Director of the Union of France Textile Industry, the member of PETA: “France companies are interesting in cooperation with the Russian party within the bounds of the realization of the pilot project of the creation of textile-industrial cluster. The Union is ready to begin the development of the joint programs to mobilize European investment funds in the fields of research and industry.”

As noted by the first Vice-chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo Region, Mikheev Dmitry, the interest of foreign companies in cooperation with Russian manufactures increases each year, which indicates high potential of the Russian market. More than 50 companies from Germany, Austria, Italy, Turkey, France, Switzerland, and England will discuss with Russian colleagues the possibilities of the intellectual and technological partnerships.

Traditionally the XVIII International Exhibition “Textile salon-2010” being the most impressive event in the Russian fashion industry will be held within the bounds of the V International Textile-Industry Forum “The Golden Ring”. The creative works in the sphere of fashion design showing the real facilities of the branches of the domestic light industry will be demonstrated in competitive program of the exhibition “Textile Salon-2010”. The competition jury will be headed by the People`s artist of Russia, the president of Moscow Fashion House, Slava Zaitsev.

The V International Textile-Industry Forum “The Golden Ring” will be concluded with the Gala-Show of collections of Ivanovo designers who won the Model Competition which was held in Fashion Theater of Pierre Cardin (France, Paris) in spring 2010.

The Anniversary V International Textile-Industrial Forum “The Golden Ring” will be held in Ivanovo on September 30 – October 1, 2010. The Forum organizers are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Ivanovo Region.
