In spite of the high dollar value, the wool market in Australia is doing reasonably well. Countries such as India, China and several European nations are increasingly demanding finer varieties of wool from Australia.
According to a wool expert, the increasing demand for raw wool symbolizes the rise in global demand for wool clothing.
He further pointed out that the major problem associated with recession is that people discontinued buying garments and this can continue for a few more years. The Australian economy has also faced the period of slump for quite some time and is recovering now.
