Gohar said the SNGPL management has efficiently completed ATAs of the gas fields including Qadirpur Gas Field and Dakni Gas Field in record time of three to four days against announced 10 – 14 days closure of gas fields. It has not only ensured minimum disturbance to the industry on gas supply to the production units but also help increase supply to meet gas demand in winter.

According to him, the SNGPL efficiency has saved the textile industry from an estimated production loss of $300 million.

He expressed the hope that the SNGPL management would not only share the future load shedding plan with industry during winter but it would also ensure an equitable, transparent and appropriate use of natural resource.

He also underlined the importance of gas conversation drive to save the natural resource for productive use by the industry for creating employment and earning foreign exchange for the country.
