A committee has found out that, most of the textile and apparel factories in the country were not following a fair labour policy, with regards to its workers.
To put the same in order, the report put out by the committee suggests that the Ministry of Labour and Social Security conduct more inspections.
The report points out that worker's are at the receiving end of verbal abuse and violent acts and are also not paid terminal benefits.
The report also recommends that workers be allowed to join the unions of their choice and laws should be followed with regards to payment of overtime wages.
It has suggested the Labour Ministry to seriously look in to the matter and take corrective steps and table a report in Parliament on the same.
