PX firms up, PTA & MEG remain unchanged

Paraxylene price continued to remain firm due to upstream market. In S E Asian market price was in the range of US $1095-1100 / ton. Downstream buyers still tried to pull down price.
PTA price remained unchanged with the help of firm upstream support. In S E Asian market, price of PTA was quoted around $950-955 / ton.
Ethylene price declined in S E Asian market and it stood in the range of $1045-1050 / ton. In the F E Asian market, price of ethylene was around $1130 / ton.
MEG price was more or less unchanged at $860 / ton in S E Asian market. Sellers continued to quote at level of $855 / ton but could not found price acceptance. Buyers supported offers at €806 / ton in European market for October contracts.
Chinese PET chip (SD) was offered at RMB 10700 / ton and earlier it was quoted at RMB 10600 / ton.
