Polyester yarn trends gain in September

The performance of polyester yarn market was optimistic in September. In Shaoxing and Xiaoshan region, mainstream offers for 32s pure polyester weaving yarn stood around 18,000 Yuan / ton.

Mainstream offers for 32s knitting yarn were around 18,600-19,000 Yuan / ton, up more than 1,500 Yuan compared with the beginning of the month and for 50s were around 19,500-20,000 Yuan / ton.

In Jiangsu and Zhejiang area, mainstream trade price of 1.4D * 38mm increased to about 11,900-12,000 Yuan/ ton from 9,700 Yuan at the beginning of the month, cumulative increase was over 2,000 Yuan / ton, to create the largest increase in the year.

On the other hand, pure polyester yarn market has been good this year, basic stocks of manufacturers are significantly lower, July and August were relative off-season, production of factories was not high, due to high temperature and power rationing, as well as energy conservation and emission reduction.

The market markedly improved due to support from demand and reduced stocks, while price rose rapidly and continuously climbed to a new high. In mid-September, mainstream offers for 32s were around 15,300-15,500 Yuan / ton, up 1,000 Yuan compared with the beginning of the month.

The market will be stable amid shocks, polyester yarn market runs relatively at high level, but spinning factories hold no stocks in the short term, therefore, the market will be mostly firm and good in the short term.
